Entrance Exams Accepted for MBA Admission at Mangalmay Institute

In order to be eligible for admissions in the MBA at Mangalmay, a student must meet the following criteria-

  1. Candidate must have completed a bachelors degree from any recognised university following the pattern of 10 + 2 + 3.
  2. A minimum of 50% marks is required to be obtained in the above bachelors degree
  3. Student from any discipline can apply for admissions in the MBA course
  4. Along with this, the final eligibility would be determined on the basis of qualifying one out of the following entrance exams- 

What Are The Entrance Exams Accepted By Mangalmay Institute for MBA?

  1. MIMT Entrance exam- Mangalmay Institute of management and technology conducts its own entrance exam to grant admission into its MBA course. Candidates need to qualify the MIMT entrance exam with the required cutoff. The syllabus and pattern of the exam is somewhat similar to other national entrance exams. 
  2. CAT- CAT stands for common admission test. It is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. The duration of the common admission test (CAT) is 2 hours. It consists of three subjects: verbal ability and reading comprehension, quantitative ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning. CAT takes place every year in the month of November. 
  3. MAT- The All India Management Association conducts Management aptitude test popularly known as MAT. The exam is taken up by students to secure admissions in top N schools across the country. It is conducted four times in a single year, usually in the months of February, May, September and December. The duration of this exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes. 
  4. GMAT- GMAT stands for Graduate Management Aptitude Test. It is conducted throughout the year and is taken up by students who wish to pursue MBA in colleges across the world and in some famous Indian colleges as well like ISB. It is a 3 year exam which tests the quantitative, verbal, integrated reasoning and analytical writing skills of a student.  
  5. CMAT- Common Management Admission test is conducted by National testing agency which is an agency of Government of India. This exam is taken by students willing to take admission in All India council for technical education approved programs across the colleges in India. The duration of CMAT is around 3 hours and is conducted in the month of January. Apart from the subjects commonly tested in other entrance exams, CMAT also tests the general awareness of a candidate.
