BBA admission 2019:
The admission for BBA is generally based on the rank list prepared from the qualifying exam by different colleges and universities. Although the eligibility criteria for different colleges vary greatly from one college to another college, the minimum basic eligibility criteria for the BBA admission 2019 is:
- The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized board.
- The age limit for BBA admission is 17 to 25 years.
The admission in BBA degree program in any college is based on the qualifying exams, some of them are:
1. Colleges affiliated to Delhi University:

The qualifying exam for admission in Delhi University is DU JAT, conducted annually by Delhi University, in the month of July-August. The Eligibility Criteria for Students to Sit for DU JAT is:
The student must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (for general category students) and a minimum of 55% (for SC/ST/PWD) and for OBC category, the minimum percentage is 54% in aggregate from any recognized board in this senior secondary exam.
2. Colleges affiliated to IP University:
Indraprastha University (IPU) conducts its common entrance test (CET) for admission in various degree programs. The eligibility for appearing in IPU CET:
The student should have scored a minimum of 50% percent marks in aggregate in his higher secondary exam from any recognized board in India.
The candidate appearing for their 10+2 level exam can also sit for IPU CET exam by providing proof of candidature within stipulated time/date, provided they fulfill other eligibility criteria.
Age limit- The age limit for students appearing in IPU CET’19 is between 17 to 25 years as on 1st August 2019.
For students belonging to SC/ST/PWD category, the minimum qualifying marks are 45% in aggregate from any recognized board in their senior secondary level exam.
The IP University then prepares a rank list on the basis of marks obtained in the CET, and further a division process is based on the rank of the candidate, with top colleges often picking up the candidate within rank of 3 to 4 thousand and candidates after the rank of 4 thousand have to settle for medium-level colleges. 3. Delhi Technological University:
The admission in the best management colleges of Delhi is based on the following criteria and the students qualifying all criteria’s are eligible for the further admission process:
The candidate who has passed their higher secondary exam from any state in Delhi (National Capital Territory) are eligible for admission in DTU BBA program under Delhi state quota. 55% of the total seats are reserved for the Delhi students.
Candidates who have passed their higher secondary exam from outside Delhi region come under All India Category (15% of the total seats are reserved for them).
For admission in BBA program in DTU, the students should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized board with English (Core/Elective/functional) as a compulsory subject.
The age of the applicant must be a minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 25 years as on or before 1st October 2019 (based on the previous year-date, the date may vary year to year).
Relaxation in a minimum of up to one year can be given to applicant with the permission of competent authority (such candidate should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission)
Reservation Policy – seats reserved for different categories are:
15% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to scheduled caste (SC)
75% of total seats are reserved for students belonging to Schedule Tribe (ST)
27% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to Other backward class- Non-creamy layer( OBC-NCL )
A total of 15% of the total seats are reserved for students belonging to PWD
The selection of students is based on the merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the best four subjects (including English) in the higher-secondary exam.
4. For Private colleges:
The eligibility criteria for admission in private colleges differ greatly from college to college.
Some top Private Colleges/universities conduct their own qualifying exam and admission is based on the merit rank list prepared on the basis of the qualifying exam.
5. Symbiosis University:
Symbiosis conducts its own symbiosis Entrance test (SET) for admission in BBA program.
The eligibility criteria for the SET Exam are:
The candidate should have done 10+2 exam from any recognized board, university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general category students and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PWD category students.
Students awaiting their 10+2 result can also apply for SET.
The age of the candidate should be less than 20 years as on may 5 of that year (tentative date can be changed)
There is a relaxation of 2 years in the age chart for reserved category students.
